Lantern walk wash out and boxes galore!

Yesterday we went back to my school for the annual 'lantern walk'. It's all to do with St Martin, but other than that fact he gave his cloak to a beggar, I have no idea who he was. All the kids made their lanterns in school, so it was nice to see them out and about. Inara 'made' one too. This involved her crayoning a piece of lantern paper like mad, then me repeatedly super glueing my fingers together before it was finished.

The walk itself was a miserable affair. It was super windy and raining, so we got to the end of the block and decided to head back indoors. The rest of the walk came back shortly after us, having cut a huge chunk of the route off. We ended up just letting Inara walk about the school hall while having a drink, then headed home. On a plus note, Maia walked 8 steps on her own!! Inara kept holding her hand and trying to get Maia to walk off with her, but Maia just kept falling over. Inara was pretty bemused and left her alone after a few attempts! I can't wait until they are both running about together.

Today we continued packing up the house ready for our move. I can't believe it's come around so soon!! Inara seems to like packing, and helped Mark pack all most of her books in a box. She didn't understand the scrunched up newspaper padding though, and kept just bringing it to me. Still loads to do and panic is settling in now...eek!
